Dr. Grant Collins, widely known as The Braces Guy ®, is an orthodontist, speaker, philanthropist and author. He attended St. Olaf College, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, and Mayo Clinic for orthodontic residency. Dr. Collins is a founder, owner and practicing orthodontist at Collins Orthodontics in Rochester, MN. He also is a founder and owner of The Donut - a local bakery that raises money to support a program that gives free braces to children cancer survivors. When Dr. Collins isn't in the clinic, you can find him playing soccer, skiing, reading, traveling, spending time in nature, and hanging with his kids - Caden, Grayson, and Lennon.

Dr. Kyle Fagala is the owner and orthodontist at Saddle Creek Orthodontics, with two locations in Germantown and Collierville, Tennessee. He is also co-founder of the digital marketing agency Neon Canvas and host of The Digital Orthodontist: Live! Dr. Kyle graduated from UT Memphis in 2013 with a certificate in orthodontics and a master's degree in Dental Science for his thesis on three-dimensional imaging of the airway. Dr. Kyle is the course director and lecturer of Development of the Occlusion, a class for first-year dental students at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and a Key Opinion Leader for 3M Oral Care. He loves music, specifically the drums, and spends more time than he should on social media. Dr. Kyle, his wife Anna, and their four children Charlie, Libby, George, and Lucy live in Germantown and attend Highland Church of Christ.

Dr. Anderson graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brigham Young University, after which he attended dental school at the University of Iowa. As a dental student, he scored in the 97th percentile nationwide on both the National Board Dental Exam Parts I and II.

Brian loved earning his orthodontic specialty training at the University of Minnesota.

Brian loves orthodontics because he feels “flow”—a feeling of “energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process”—every day at work.

His passion for orthodontics led him to create the continuing education group Orthodontic Pearls—the largest group orthodontic specialists in the world, where he enjoys teaching, learning and interacting with colleagues and friends.

Dr. Sudit attended The University of Texas for his undergraduate studies where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He then attended the highly regarded dental school program at the University of Minnesota. While there, he earned his DDS and was awarded the American Association of Orthodontists Senior Student Award upon graduation.

Dr. Sudit practiced general dentistry in the Minneapolis area before completing his post-graduate training in orthodontics, along with a Master’s Degree in Dentistry. After all of that schooling, Dr. Sudit returned to Austin, excited to learn more under the tutelage of Dr. Randy Kunik, one of the best practitioners of Invisalign in the industry.

After working with Dr. Randy Kunik for a few years and earning a reputation for quality care, exceptional work and a top-notch ability for connecting and relating to his patients, he is proud to be out on his own, doing what he loves, and returning to the city that he loves – Minneapolis.

Orthodontics was a dream for me since I was a young boy. I had my teeth straightened by an Orthodontist and thought “How do they make my teeth move like that?!” and “What a fun job this must be!” I loved seeing the excitement of patients getting their braces off, and I still remember what it felt like to have my crooked smile that kids used to tease me about become referred to as a “million dollar smile” by my friends and later co-workers. Dr. Courtney Dunn is a practicing orthodontist, wife, mother of three, the Founder of Women in Orthodontics® and the Co-Founder of Dunn Orthodontics, a multi-location orthodontic practice in Phoenix, Arizona. Described as smart, ambitious, opinionated and a force of nature, Courtney has won the Milo Hellman Award, served as President of the Arizona State Orthodontic Association, and been interviewed by such diverse media sources as National Public Radio (NPR) and Fox News Channel.

Originally from Phoenix, Courtney attended Loyola Marymount University and then the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) for dental school and orthodontics. After she and her husband (Matt, who is also an orthodontist) finished residency, she decided to move back home and open her own practice even though the orthodontic market in Phoenix was already saturated. A year later, the great recession decimated the real estate and job markets in Phoenix forcing nearly 100 dental and orthodontic practices in the Phoenix area out of business.

By following both proven and innovative business and marketing strategies, Dunn Orthodontics not only survived those tumultuous years, but grew to four practices. To date, Dunn Orthodontics has treated over 10,000 patients from more than 35 states including professional athletes (NFL, NBA, MLB), television personalities (ESPN), dentists, hygienists, physicians, lawyers and CEOs along with their families.

Dr. Kelly Morgan is a practicing orthodontist, wife, mother, and employer of 18. She founded Morgan Orthodontics in 2008 and built the initial location from scratch. It has grown to a very successful two location Northern Virginia practice.

Originally from Virginia, Dr. Morgan attended Mary Washington College and then the Harvard School of Dental Medicine for her dental training. Kelly completed her masters in orthodontics residency at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Kelly Morgan purchased her second location in the fall of 2019 and hired a full-time associate the beginning of March 2020…just prior to the COVID pandemic. Because of Kelly’s entrepreneurial spirit, ambition, and drive, she did not let the shutdown waiver her resolve. In fact, she was able to grow Morgan Orthodontics so much that she was named to the 2021 Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies! She has treated patients of all walks of life, including professional athletes, a Miss Virginia winner, and even a 9-year old Guiness Book of World Records holder for being the youngest patient to have wisdom teeth removed, which was Dr. Morgan’s finding.

Dr. Alyssa Carter graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry and received her orthodontic training at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.

Dr. Alyssa has shared her knowledge and expertise at 20+ noteworthy events, including SWSO, Women in Orthodontics, AAO, Schulman Group, and OrthopreneursRD in Costa Rico, Paris, and France, to name a few. She was also awarded the Key Opinion Leader Educator of the Year at the Dental Monitoring Summit 2023!

In addition to her educational accomplishments and experiences, Dr. Emory-Carter emphasizes community involvement. She frequently participates in local events and enjoys the many benefits of small towns and close-knit communities.

Scott Law, DMD, CAGS, is an orthodontist charged with overseeing the clinical processes and responsibilities for Smile Doctors, an orthodontist-owned orthodontic group. After completing residency at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics in 2009, he and his wife Jessica purchased a small practice from a retiring orthodontist in Killeen, Texas.

Using techniques based on customer service, fun, empowerment and excellence they grew that location to one of the largest practices in the U.S. Looking out on the horizon in 2015 and seeing the threats and opportunities facing orthodontics, they decided to scale their business based on the principle of Love On People First.

Together with partners Dr. Dana Fender and Dr. Greg Goggans, Smile Doctors has grown to over 300 orthodontics-only partner practices. Dr. Robert Norris is devoted to creating smiles for a lifetime. His unique background in mechanical engineering provides him with a distinct advantage in mastering the forces, vectors, and movements inherent in performing orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Norris attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he received his bachelor’s degree with honors in Biology and a minor in Mechanical Engineering.
He was salutatorian of this dental school class at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School.
He completed a General Practice Residency at the V.A. Hospital in Washington, D.C.
He completed his orthodontics specialty training at Howard University, and graduating as valedictorian with the highest GPA in the Orthodontic Department’s 25-year history.

Service to Our Country

Dr. Norris joined the Air Force and served as Chief of Orthodontics at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Here, he provided orthodontic care to service members and their families.

Going Green

In 2007, Dr. Norris began work to fulfill to make his office completely “green.” The office is part of a volunteer renewable energy program with CPS known as Windtricity. In April 2008, he completed a solar energy project at his orthodontic practice with the installation of 80 solar panels, providing 16 kW of electricity.

In 2010 we completed our office expansion making it the first LEED-Certified orthodontic office in the world. LEED is Leadership in Engineering and Environmental Design and is the US Government’s stamp of approval on environmentally responsible office construction.

On a Personal Note

Dr. Norris is a resident of San Antonio, Texas, where he lives with his wife and three children. As a Texas native, he grew up in Kingsville, Texas. He enjoys snow skiing, cycling, swimming, strength training, boating, hiking, and kayaking.

Dr. Norris has lectured throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. His scientific papers have been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Seminars in Orthodontics, as well as Clinical Impressions. To date, Dr. Norris and Simone are enjoying their proudest accomplishments, their three children.

Dr. Lisa Alvetro has been a solo orthodontic practitioner in Sidney, Ohio, for over 30 years. She received her D.D.S. summa cum laude from Ohio State University in 1991 and completed her orthodontic residency at Case Western Reserve University in 1993.

She continues to be involved with CWRU orthodontic department as an associate clinical professor teaching both management strategies and digital orthodontic workflow and technologies. Considered an early adopter of technology, she and her team established Alvetro 3D lab in 2017.

In her practice, she utilizes the latest technological advances, including robotic wire bending, 3D printing, digital indirect bonding, automated aligner fabrication, and digital workflows, to provide her patients with the most effective care possible. She enjoys sharing her digital experience with colleagues and is often consulted as an industry expert.

Her dedication to the orthodontic profession led her to lectured extensively since 2007 throughout the United States and abroad. She currently works with various software and 3D printer companies as an advisor and evaluator.

A firm believer in the importance of giving back, Dr. Alvetro is viewed as a community resource, supporting various local groups and agencies. She has also founded Smiles of Hope, which operates in the village of Nkende, Tanzania. She and her team also donate their resources and talents through their foundation, St. Jude Dental cooperative in St Lucia.

Tracy Martin is the founder of Straight Consulting, specializing in orthodontic practice management consulting. With over 15 years of experience in ortho offices, ranging from start-ups to DSOs, Tracy was a "utility player," serving in every position on the team. She found her calling as a Treatment Coordinator and quickly developed a reputation as an all-star performer at one of the highest volume, most progressive offices in the northwest. In 2015, she launched Straight Wire Consulting to take her intimate knowledge of building high-performing orthodontic offices and bring it to practices across North America.

Since then she’s dropped the “Wire” and rebranded as Straight Consulting, where Tracy and her partners work with orthodontic teams to enhance the new patient experience, coach TCs, build marketing strategies, establish unique practice cultures, set up healthy financial systems, and help even the newest of practices get up and running. When not working on-site with doctors and their teams, Tracy hosts two-day TC Mastery Courses specifically geared to create elite TCs, produces virtual online training courses and hosts a weekly orthodontic online talk show.

Harrison Bagdan is the Senior Practice Advisor at HIP Creative and has become the big personality he is today from his experiences.

Harrison went to college on a lacrosse scholarship and studied Kinesiology--the study of the movement of the human body--and Athletic Training. During his sophomore year when he was 19 years old, he left college to pursue a business in the sales and marketing industry where he truly gained his knowledge and education. After leaving school, he read more books than in his entire high school and college career combined.

After becoming independent before the age of 21, it was then that he realized the value of personal development; continuous education; and constant, never-ending improvement. He regularly continues to read books and attend seminars to improve himself. A quote that he lives his life by is, "In order to help people up, you must first be on higher ground."

Now, at the ripe age of 31, Harrison has personally trained and coached thousands of people on sales and marketing to help them 3x-5x their businesses. His personal passion today is to help people to realize that they are better than they think they are.

Jason founded Harris Investment Group in 2017, after spending the previous 5+ years syndicating real estate and building a portfolio over 2,500 doors and worth over $350 Million. The portfolio is primarily dominated by value-add multifamily and commercial projects. Returns on many of these projects have ranged between 50% to 100% or more. Most of his projects have a 3-year time horizon, which provides the ability to achieve maximum internal rates of return (IRR).

He has sourced and invested in residential and commercial properties across multiple markets in the U.S. and is highly familiar with property management and the brokerage aspect of the real estate industry. Jason continues to be passionate in his quest for analyzing properties from a unique perspective in order to add value, and ultimately increase investment returns, for investors who invest alongside his personal capital.

Jason started his real estate investing journey while studying economics at Brigham Young University. He chose to buy a fourplex that he and his wife Carrie first lived in when he was 24. He built a portfolio of cash-flowing properties and flipped properties for profit alongside his career at Edward Jones as a financial advisor. In that time, he was able to build up his passive gross scheduled income from his real estate holdings to over $1 Million/year. At that point, he left his financial advising career, which exploded the growth of his real estate endeavors and achieved higher than triple-digit returns on most of his properties.
As his passion and income became dominated by real estate, he and his wife Carrie started multiple real estate companies. These include Harris Investment Group, a private equity firm and investment fund focusing on value-add multifamily assets and commercial properties; Harris Real Estate Group, a real estate & property management brokerage; and Creative Gains, a mentoring & education company. Today, Jason coaches high-net-worth investors on how to build wealth through real estate.

A major part of his strategy is to maximize tax shelter benefits available to those investing in investment real estate — a subject Jason is passionate about since many astute investors do not understand the powerful impact taxes have on building wealth. Michelle Shimmin is an International lecturer, trainer and consultant who has been in the field of orthodontics since 1990, working as a Registered Dental Assistant, teaching orthodontic assisting, marketing, financials, treatment coordinating and practice management. Michelle travels the country and helps transform orthodontic offices on their systems to promote training, growth, and success through a comprehensive practice approach.

She is now considered one of the most sought-after trainers with many lecture events a year, both domestic and international, including the 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2022 Align Ortho Summit, AAO, PCSO, HSO, SCAO, TIO and many others. She has also recorded Ask the Expert webinars for Align and authored articles for publications such as Bentson Copple’s reSource and Colle + McVoy’s Global Teen Edge Newsletter.

DR. DJ DANZE

Dr. Adam Danze isan orthodontist in the Charlotte, NC area. He recently opened his start up practice, Providence Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, earlier this year with his wife (who’s the pediatric dentist in the practice!) While Dr. Danze certainly loves creating beautiful smiles by day, he also loves creating fun musical mixes in the form of live DJing by night. To this day, he is the only known regularly gigging “Ortho-DJ” in the world. He’s been musically inclined since and started DJing in college. Dr. DJ Danze looks forward to bringing his talents to Scottsdale for this year’s MOPC!
